Greg Snyder is the co-founder of Wise Guys Events, a company that produces live (and virtual) games for teams of all types. He attended UCLA where he met his business partner, Myles Nye, while creating sketch comedy for dormitory television. A few years later they were on the vanguard of corporate team building with the world famous Astronauts Vs. Lumberjacks Smackdown in Los Feliz. I'm sure you've heard of it. Greg believes in the benefits of purposeful play because he has seen them time after time. Designing challenges for reality TV, teaching workshops on improvisation for professionals, and facilitating corporate team building games has shown that groups who get to play together can learn to work together, no matter how different or diverse their backgrounds may be. Greg's debut at IndieCade was Dot Racing, a Twister-style race on a custom, 20-foot-long mat that took up way to much of the E3 show floor. Subsequent games included Hoot Patooter (a four-square food fight), Mr. Smee (another game about piracy and payroll), and Developers Choice award-winner Rose MacBeth (a blindfolded knife fight in a graveyard). When he is not hosting virtual game nights over Zoom, he can be found in Austin, TX riding with his son at the Veloway, picking up queso from Torchy's, or wishing Vigilante could reopen.
