Sam Roberts
About Speaker
"Sam Roberts is the Festival Director of IndieCade. He began creating narrative worlds and playable experiences when he discovered Dungeons and Dragons at the age of 8. Roleplaying games gave me an outlet for my imagination and a playground for social engagement. My drive to work in creative collaboration with artists of all stripes led me to a study of theater and creative direction, while my ongoing need to explore the collision of technology and expression drove me through that winding path to the field of games and play. While my portfolio of creative work covers theater, film, video games and board games in roles as a designer, director, adaptor, and more, I am most widely known for my work helping found and direct IndieCade, the ‘Sundance of Games.’ I currently work at the USC Games, the #1 game design school in the world, where I oversee production, manage curriculum, and teach classes on tabletop roleplaying game design and systems design." twitch.tv/SamAsh1980
